The Hamlet family are a local family from Chipping, who just last year were the Grand Final Winners of Englands Business Awards for “Best Butchers” 2022. We use their meats on our takeaway sandwiches and they are also available to buy from our shop.
Alongside Hamlets, we are also proud suppliers of Gazegill Organics Meats. Gazegill have also had their fair share of accolades. In just May of this year 2023, they were awarded the Country Side Alliance, Rural Oscar for The Best ‘local’ Food & Drink Retailer in the UK.
You can find mouthwatering, popular, award winning cheeses at the Farm Shop from Chipping’s own Procters Cheeses Ltd along with a selection of organic cheeses too. We have delectable pies from Bowens Pies of Chorley. Our legendary homemade pork and pork and chilli jam sausage rolls are a massive hit with the locals, ramblers and cyclists. We are reminded often that they are the best sausage rolls EVER!
We have a carefully curated selection of traditional Lancaster Ales, Ciders and Fine Wines.
Our breads and soft bread rolls are split into two companies being, Berry Lane Bakery, who we have used from day one and Mark’s Artisan Bakery of
Clitheroe. Mark is well known for his exquisite baking skills, using very few ingredients to create his amazing Sourdough and Honey Spelt Loaves.

Hi, we are Alan and Sharon Burton, originally from Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
Having embarked on a natural health journey, just under 10 years ago, the next progression for us was to move to the countryside. Entering into a Google Search “Rural places to live in Lancashire” (not wanting to be too far from our close family and friends). The first property to come up, was a 17th Century Gatehouse with an extended contemporary newbuild in Chipping, Lancashire, overlooking the beautiful Parlick Fell, displaying pictures of the most breathtaking sunset views. Ever since I can remember, I have been a sunset lover and there we were, … SOLD!!! The property had only been listed 20 minutes prior to my search. We showed our interest straight away and we were shortlisted along with 4 other people. We left the outcome to the Lord. The final decision was with the landlord who was also the local landowner as to who would be chosen. “He chose us”! Within a few months, we had sold our home and packed up our life in Upholland and headed off to our new life in Chipping.
After our first day in Chipping, I took a walk to the local Farm Shop to ascertain where and how the local meat in the shop was raised and by what processes. This was very important to us. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the owner of the Farm Shop was a local farmer, raising her own Aberdeen Angus for Beef. I absolutely loved the shop, which is set, right in the heart of the picturesque village in the Ribble Valley, within the Forest of Bowland an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
When I got home, I said to Alan “I would love that Farm Shop Al and turn it into an Organic Farm Shop” With a look of confusion and disbelief, he asked how we could achieve this as our Work Wear Company was very established for who I was the Sales Director.
To cut a story very short, in under 12 months, Chipping Farm Shop came up for sale. Again, we prayed and left it to the Lord.
In the meantime, we had been praying about creating an online natural business, where people could come to a trusted place for their organic, plant derived, natural vitamins, minerals and supplements and here, Genesis Healing Ltd was born www.genesishealing.co.uk
Alan, in a heartbeat, came up with the name and was inspired by God’s gifts to us :-

Our passion to help people who wanted to get well in a world full of growing sickness, was growing by the days, weeks and months
After several months, the Farm Shop had still not sold. We put in an offer to the owner and she accepted. We found a buyer very quickly and sold our Work Wear Business. We were the new owners of a Farm Shop, yet to be organic and the owners of Genesis Healing Ltd, all at the exact same time. (Lord, if this is your plan for us… we’re going to need your help)
Fast forward >>>>> We are now into our 6 ½ year as residents of this wonderful village and 5 ½ years as the Chipping Farm Shop owners. The Farm Shop is now predominantly organic and is growing from strength to strength every year, as is Genesis Healing Ltd.
